Dram + Scran is a magazine highlighting the best of food and drink from Glasgow's popular Finnieston area. This project involved building the creative aspects of the magazine from the ground up, starting with designing the masthead. Inspiration was taken from the long vertical lines found in low-hanging light fixtures and bar stools, with dark blues in the colour palette to reflect a nightlife atmosphere.

Journalistic articles regarding Glasgow's food and drink scene were formatted and stylised against a running backdrop of colour and geometry. The pages feature justified text along and a careful consideration of white space to give a contemporary look which is easy for the eyes to navigate.

Also present are examples of digital image manipulation, as well as a two-page vector illustration spread which injects life into the featured recipe for a 'Glasgow Mule' cocktail.

The use of own photography was also used throughout the project, with photos taken on location around Finnieston. The images were then edited to enhance depth and colour, and included alongside the articles to emphasise the vibrancy and rich dining culture of Glasgow's Finnieston Strip.
